At the beginning of the semester you will receive by post not only your student card but also instructions on how to activate your account. After a successful Online-Activation, a PDF file with all important information about your account (user ID) will be available for download. It is essential that you save this file within 30 minutes, as online activation can only be carried out once for security reasons. With the help of this access data you can use the various online services of the university. Please note that your matriculation number and your personal user ID will remain the same throughout your studies. This also applies if you change your course of study, take up a subsequent Master's programme or are employed.
