Services of the Rhineland-Palatinate IT Departments Alliance (RARP)

The RARP is an association of the IT departments of the universities in Rhineland-Palatinate, which provides the following services to all students and employees:

  • BigBlueButton:
    Video conferencing system for digital teaching.
  • Filesender:
    FileSender is a secure way to share large files with someone.
  • Gitlab:
    Version management for software projects based on Git.
  • HedgeDoc:
    Markdown editor for collaborative editing of documents in the browser.
  • HPC Service:
    Access to the High Performance Cluster of the RPTU Kaiserslautern.
    Students must first apply for authorisation for the access portal at the HelpDesk.
  • Mattermost:
    Web-based chat client in conjunction with Gitlab.
  • OpenProject:
    Web-based project management tool (currently not accessible to students).
  •  Seafile Cloud:
    Sync and share platform comparable to DropBox or Google Drive.
  • SoSci Survey:
    Tool for creating online surveys or online polls.

IT-ServicePoint: Room G9
Mo.-Fr.:    9:15 - 11:45 hour
Mo.-Th.: 13:45 - 16:00 hour

IT-Workspaces: Rooms G01, G03, G04, G12, G13, G14
[24/7] - at night, on sundays and public holidays with your student card / staffmember card
