When attempting to update the eduVPN client under Windows, a message may appear stating that the Trojan:Script/ObfusScript.A!ml threat has been detected. This is a false positive. In fact, neither a virus nor a threat is present.
Remedy: Log in to https://eduvpn.hochschule-trier.de via a web browser, download the latest Windows client and install it manually.
This problem can occur in rare cases if your device has an NVIDIA graphics card in addition to the processor's internal graphics card. To resolve the problem, you must set the NVIDIA control panel so that the FortiClient VPN is displayed via the internal graphics card.

If you have VPN connection problems while using a mobile internet connection via a mobile router, you can try to set the ‘IP address encryption method’ to ‘Protocol v4’ in the APN settings of the router (if protocol v6 is active by default).
