The AStA is made up of several departments that are responsible for different tasks. There is also an Executive Board which consists of a chairperson, a vice chairperson and the financial officers.
In addition to the departmental tasks, each AStA officer regularly attends the weekly meetings and helps out at committee events.
Furthermore, subcommittees can be formed to support the AStA or, as in most cases, a specific department in its work. Examples are the Teestube and Kadu teams. The AStA or the department officer is authorized to issue instructions to the committee and is jointly responsible for its work.

Of course, the environmental department should not be missing from the Environmental Campus, because the idea of sustainability should never be neglected in the AStA.
Environmental awareness should be promoted and sustainability-oriented projects should be supported and implemented.

A central task of the AStA's public relations work is to facilitate communication between the AStA and the students. Various channels are used for this purpose, such as our website, social media, emails and posters at the university.
Regular updates and information about current projects, events and services of the AStA keep students up to date.
The department is divided into various sections, which of course overlap or work together and are ideally all occupied.

Further tasks:
The department takes care of the internal affairs of the AStA - especially concerning our internal organization.
Tasks:
Our Equality Department is your first point of contact if you have experienced discrimination, sexual harassment or violence or would like to talk about other equality-related issues. Our aim is to give you the opportunity to talk to us and find support in a confidential setting.
We will also support you in contacting the Equal Opportunities Office and act as your first point of contact. Everyone affected is taken seriously and we work together to find solutions.
Contact us if you need help - we are here for you! We have a separate mailbox (awareness-asta@umwelt-campus.de) that can only be accessed by a small, confidential group of people (Jana Krest, Hagen Sahm and Berenike Kücker), so you are in safe hands.
