AI-Lab

The AI real-world laboratory created as part of the "KI-Pilot" project enables teachers and students to work together on fascinating AI projects. This promotes the transfer of theoretical principles and algorithms into practical applications. The visualisation of AI content is essential for students' understanding, as it allows them to experience the theoretical aspects of the subject matter in meaningful applications. The educational presentation of AI topics not only benefits students, but also offers companies in the region the opportunity to benefit from the methods developed in projects and drive future innovations. In addition, we organise guided tours of the AI research lab to give interested parties an insight into working with AI.

Equipment

The PCB printer uses conductive ink to print the conductive tracks on the PCB material and also solders the SMD components. A soldering oven is also available for assembling double-sided PCBs.

The Microsoft HoloLens 2, VIVE Pro 2 and VIVE XR Elite offer augmented and virtual reality experiences. The HoloLens 2 seamlessly integrates digital objects into the real world, the VIVE Pro 2 delivers razor-sharp VR images, while the VIVE XR Elite enables mixed reality applications. All three set new standards for immersive technology.

Five computer workstations are available, which can be used for various tasks. Of these five workstations, two are specially designed for applications in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and have significantly higher computing power and resources.
