The CAT - Center for advanced technology is a co-working space and incorporates the concept of the green factory.
It combines the theory and practice of the circular economy to create a vibrant learning space that inspires and empowers students, pupils and citizens alike to contribute towards solving global sustainability challenges. By promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative thinking, the CAT makes a significant contribution to the education of future generations equipped with the tools and knowledge to tackle the environmental and social challenges of our time.
The concept of a green factory as a living teaching and research laboratory for the circular economy addresses the urgent need to bring sustainable production methods and economic models into the focus of academic education and public attention. At the same time, training and consulting services are offered. In addition to topics such as the circular economy and remanufacturing, Industry 4.0, human-robot cooperation and applications of artificial intelligence in production are also covered.
Within simulations and guided workshops, the topics are also made accessible to pupils and the general public. These interactive formats serve to raise awareness of the importance of the circular economy and provide practical insights into the implementation of sustainability principles in production. By actively involving participants in the design and optimization of production processes, they are motivated to become actors in the sustainable transformation themselves.
