Microsoft Office 365

Various services and applications are available to employees under a contract with Microsoft. Licensing is based on a Federated ID (with transmission of personal data).

You can also use Microsoft Office 365 on multiple PCs/notebooks and tablets/smartphones in parallel. Business use on private end devices is also possible.

IMPORTANT: The portal is hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, insofar the data centers can only provide limited support in case of technical problems.

Instruction

Self-administered IT workstations

Follow these instructions only if you have admin rights on your end device.

  1. In order to use Microsoft services and applications, you need a Microsoft University account. To obtain this, you must confirm the transfer of personal data to Microsoft once.
  2. Your Microsoft university account is now <login name>@umwelt-campus.de.
  3. Open the portal: https://office.com
  4. Log in with your Microsoft university account.
    IMPORTANT: If you have already created a private account at Microsoft with your university ID in the past, a selection box will appear when you log in. Select Business account there.
  5. You can then use the applications online or download a setup file for local installation by selecting Install.
  6. Launch one of the Office 365 applications and sign in with your Microsoft University account.

IT workstations administered by the data center

Follow these instructions only if you do not have admin rights on your end device.

  1. In order to use Microsoft services and applications, you need a Microsoft University account. To obtain this, you must confirm the transfer of personal data to Microsoft once.
  2. Your Microsoft university account is now <login name>@umwelt-campus.de.
  3. Request the installation of Microsoft Office 365 by e-mail to our ticket system: help(at)umwelt-campus.de
  4. We will install Microsoft Office 365 on your device.
  5. Launch one of the Office 365 applications and sign in with your Microsoft University account.
