Employees at the Umwelt-Campus can address all e-mail distribution lists directly and without permission. An e-mail to mailverteiler@umwelt-campus.de is not necessary. If you would like to send an e-mail to more than one person or to a specific group of people, you will find a list of recipient groups in your address book (Outlook, or OWA) under the item Distributors. Please note the notes listed below.
Students at the Umwelt-Campus can address all e-mail distribution lists, but there will be an additional check. These emails will be approved if they conform to the instructions given below. Since an e-mail is automatically rejected after 48 hours without approval, it should not be sent on a Friday or weekend day. If you want to send an e-mail to more than one person or to a specific group of people, you will find a list of recipient groups in your address book (Outlook, or OWA) under the item Distributor.
Please note the information below and that no attachments will be forwarded (including embedded graphics)!
Messages that do not meet the conditions will be ignored and deleted without comment.
Before sending an e-mail to an e-mail distributor, please recall the following information:
Use university e-mail address
If you are a member of the Trier University of Applied Sciences and send an e-mail, please use your university e-mail address as the sender address!
University reference
E-mails that clearly pursue commercial or private interests or have no recognisable connection with the university will not be forwarded. Such messages are ignored.
Study relevance
E-mails to all students or to a group of students must be clearly related to their studies and must not pursue commercial or private interests.
Differentiated distribution of information
Please select your recipients carefully. Please note that there is internal university information that is only intended for selected recipients. Do not distribute with the "watering can", but consider who benefits from the information and who might feel annoyed about the number of e-mails. Nobody wants to receive daily mail from you with the same information. Your email may be automatically sent to the recipient's SPAM folder.
Keep it short and stick to the topic
E-mails that are disproportionately long (even without an attachment larger than 20 KB) are only forwarded if there is a good reason to do so.
Avoid attachments
The ratio of information content to size of attachments is by powers of ten less favourable than for simple text in the mail window! Save resources here as well.
Attachments are rejected by some recipients for security reasons.
If you can't do without a formatted document, you can store it on your homepage (Typo3-CMS) or seafile and link to it in your e-mail.
