meinGrün - Information and navigation of green spaces in cities

The goal of the meinGrün project is the experimental development and testing of a novel infrastructure of services and a web app designed to serve as an information and decision-making tool for locating urban green spaces. Various types of data are collected and prepared to provide user-specific information about green spaces and route options for accessibility. The web app, launched in the summer of 2020, takes into account environmental parameters such as shading from vegetation, noise pollution, and emission exposure.

The IoT workshop at the Environmental Campus focuses on the digitalization of everyday life and the increasing interconnectedness of the world combined with ever-improving artificial intelligence analysis systems. Current questions and challenges are addressed practically in project groups to develop future solutions. In collaboration with schools and other institutions, educational content is delivered to a wide audience. The IoT Workshop allows anyone to become part of the project and conduct their own experiments through the provided "Octopus" platform.
