United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

The UNEP is tasked with coordinating environmental activities among other UN organizations. It also supports sustainable development through the promotion of appropriate environmental practices.

UNESCO

UNESCO is a legally independent specialized agency of the United Nations. Its responsibilities include promoting education, science, culture, communication, and information. It was founded in 1945.

World Meteorological Organization

As a specialized agency of the United Nations, the WMO focuses on international cooperation and coordination regarding the state and behavior of the Earth’s atmosphere, its interactions with land and oceans, the resulting weather and climate, and the distribution of water resources.

Open Geospatial Consortium

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is an international consortium of over 500 companies, government agencies, research organizations, and universities dedicated to making geospatial data and services FAIR—Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

The consensus-driven process led by OGC members produces free, publicly available open geospatial standards. As a pioneer, OGC actively analyzes and anticipates emerging technology trends while operating an agile, collaborative Research & Development lab—the OGC Innovation Program—which develops and tests innovative prototype solutions for member use cases.
