European Commission’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations department (DG ECHO)

The European Commission's Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations department (DG ECHO) was established in 1992 to provide humanitarian aid to people in need around the world. In 2010, civil protection was integrated to improve the response to disasters.

European Environment Agency (EEA) 

The European Environment Agency (EEA) is an EU body that provides reliable and independent information on the environment.

Eurostat

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union. Its mission is to provide the Union with European statistics that allow comparisons between countries and regions. 

Joint Research Center (JRC)

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is a department of the European Commission providing independent scientific and technological support for EU policy-making. 

European Chemicals Agency (ECHA)

ECHA is the driving force among regulatory authorities in implementing the EU's groundbreaking chemicals legislation for the benefit of human health and the environment as well as for innovation and competitiveness. ECHA helps companies to comply with the legislation, advances the safe use of chemicals, provides information on chemicals and addresses chemicals of concern.

European GNSS Agency (GSA) / EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA)

The European GNSS Agency is an EU agency. It supports the European Commission in satellite-based navigation (GNSS) tasks. It also carries out the European satellite navigation programs and monitors the GALILEO and EGNOS projects.

EuroGeographics’ activities focus on underpinning the European Spatial Data Infrastructure with the definitive reference data collected, maintained and provided by their members.

International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine (ICPR)

The members of the International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine (ICPR) - Switzerland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the European Commission - cooperate successfully with Austria, Liechtenstein, the Belgian region of Wallonia and Italy for the benefit of the Rhine and all its tributaries. Nine states and regions in the Rhine catchment area work closely together to balance the diverse interests of use and protection in the Rhine basin. Their work focuses on the sustainable development of the Rhine, its floodplains and the good condition of all water bodies in the catchment area.

Inspire Geoportal

The INSPIRE geoportal is the central European access point to the data provided by the EU Member States and several EFTA countries under the INSPIRE Directive. The geoportal allows monitoring the availability of INSPIRE datasets, finding suitable datasets based on their descriptions (metadata) and accessing the selected datasets via their view or download services. The metadata used in the geoportal are regularly collected and updated by the search services of the EU Member States and EFTA countries.

European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA)

EUSPA is the only European Union agency dedicated to space. Its mission is to serve as the essential link between space technology and user needs, translating the European Union's investment in space into valuable, reliable services for European citizens.

EUSPA is responsible for operational management of the EGNOS and Galileo satellite navigation programs and for ensuring the continuous provision of their services. This involves the management, operation, maintenance, continuous improvement, evolution and protection of the systems' infrastructure, including upgrades and obsolescence management.

data.europa.eu is the official portal for data on Europe and has over 1.5 million data sets for 36 countries.

Geographic Information System of the Greater Region (GIS-GR)

The purpose of the website is to distribute the created transnational thematic maps of the Greater Region and to direct the user to the Geoportal of the Greater Region.
