Learning outcomes

The students master the basic knowledge in the field of energy technology and energy conversion. In addition, they can apply this knowledge to given tasks or case congruencies.

Content

The module contains an introduction to the topic of energy. This includes units, forms of energy and basic concepts such as primary energy and the distinction between fossil and renewable energy sources.

On a global scale, regional differences, trade, transport and use of energy are discussed. These include the residential sector (building energy technology) as well as power generation and distribution and transport technology. The lecture also refers to current approaches in energy technology.
