At this year's City Campus in Trier, the Institute for Operations and Technology Management (IBT) presented its current research activities to a broad public. With a booth on the main market in Trier, the employees of the IBT presented numerous exhibits and experiments on robotics, 3D scanning and 3D printing. Together with numerous other projects of the University of Trier and the Trier University of Applied Sciences, the numerous curious visitors were introduced to science.
The research cluster Robotix-Academy presented the possibilities of using humanoid robots. Especially the small visitors on the City Campus had a lot of fun interacting and playing with the robot NAO. Furthermore, the functionality of 3D printers for professional use in research and development was explained to interested citizens from the field of 3D scanning and 3D printing as well as numerous exhibits made of plastic and metal.
