The project GRIHSU! is concerned with the design of new, environmentally friendly technologies and the establishment of an academy. For the "Green Innovation (GI)-Technologies", the focus is on plant engineering and special purpose machinery manufacturers, who will build up competencies in innovative and green production technology through the project. The "GI-Academy" addresses here the employees as well as the citizens. Sensitization, information, and further education measures will be developed here.
In addition to a co-working space for technology and funding advice, the contact point also houses the CAT Center for Advanced Technology, equipped with demonstrators and invites people to try out new technologies.
The target group of the Green Innovation Hub are small and medium-sized enterprises from the Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland region, which want to develop and implement environmentally friendly products, business models as well as technologies and processes. For this purpose, up to EUR 8 million in funding is available in the second phase of the project, invested in funding projects with companies. The BMBF funds the project.
